HOW WE WORK

IN-HOME CONSULTATION
When you contact our office for your free in-home consultation to discuss ideas for the project, an appointment will be scheduled, at a time convenient for you. At this time, we will go through your project details – such as ideas, schedule and budget, so we can meet all your needs. Next, we will show you previous relevant projects that Barts Remodeling has completed, to better understand your taste in design and materials. And finally, we explain the design and build process, and answer all questions that you may have.

PROJECT PREPERATION & DESIGN
Once the designs and layouts meet your standards, we are ready to move forward! At this time, our office staff will help you with selecting all the materials and finishes that will be used. To help assure your satisfaction with materials used, Barts Remodeling works with many of Chicago’s largest and most know building suppliers and stores that can offer you discounts.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Barts Remodeling will take all necessary measures to protect and respect your home during construction. We also ensure the project is completed up to code so all permits necessary must be obtained and once issued your project will begin shortly after. During the construction, a project manager will oversee the entire project- from meeting with you before construction begins and frequently throughout to answer questions you may have, to providing you with an overview and progress updates. The project manager will be responsible for all the work being completed according to the designs & plans.

PUNCH LIST & FINAL WALK-THROUGH
As your project comes to an end, we want to make sure that you are satisfied with all work and the outcome of the remodel. We will schedule for the project manager to visit your home and answer any questions or concerns you might have as we finish the final touches. During this time, we also prepare a punch list which is a list of repairs and incomplete work items remaining at the end of a project that must be finished before project is concluded.
